Scenes From Main Hall

Scenes From Main Hall

Somewhere in my memory, I do recall
Spending a lot of time hanging out in Main Hall
The names, faces and voices I have come to find
Are all still familiar and vivid within my mind

There was a social status for everyone there
For boys and girls—even those from Farrer
Eastside, Westside, Cowboy or Jock
Even those who wasted their minds on that lousy Punk Rock

Little Clay Lowe with his trendy mullet always could be seen
Standing and talking to his buddies by the candy machine
And when Wade Binks walked thru the hall, you could always see the effects
That he had on all the girls each time that he stopped and flexed

Our wardrobes had a way of telling who we were- just like family crests
The trendy O.P. shirts, FFA jackets or the western vests
Hats were not allowed- if you wore one you were sure to get heck
From the Dear old bald man himself—Monty Groesbeck

Time moves everything forward, and those things are all in the past
And life seems to be passing by way too fast
I wish that I could go back once more to view it all
Everything that was happening there in Main Hall
